Folake is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators. She obtained her LL. B from the University of Lagos and an LL.M (with distinction) in International Commercial Law from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, Scotland, where she also received the Thompson Reuters Prize for All Round Best Performance. 

She worked in different top tier Law firm and gained expertise in commercial law, corporate governance and compliance and dispute resolution before joining Lagos Bus Services Limited. She is the Head of the Legal Department and Company Secretary at Lagos Bus Services Limited. She has won the ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards Rising Star Award (Top 40 under 40 lawyers), and the ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards Best In-House
Counsel (Shipping & Transport Category). 

She was a recipient of the African Arbitration Academy Scholarship and a member of the drafting committee of the Model Bilateral Treaty for African States, which recently won a Global Arbitration Review award. She also has a key interest in resolution of technology disputes, data privacy and cybersecurity.
