Terms and Conditions

Membership subscriptions

The membership subscription period is from January to December each year. The subscription for members who join part-way through the year will be calculated on a pro rata basis (quarterly). No refunds or extensions can be offered under any circumstances.

Application for Membership shall be made to the membership department of the LACIAC and shall be supported (in the case of an individual applicant) by a personal résumé or (in the case of a corporate applicant) by information sufficient to confirm its bona fides.

If your application for Membership has been confirmed by way of written confirmation and you wish to change your mind about joining, regrettably, no refunds can be issued.

Membership may be cancelled if, in its discretion, the LACIAC Court considers that a current member no longer meets the criteria for membership, for reasons that have become known to the LACIAC since membership was granted. In this instance, no refunds will be issued.

Membership renewals

The LACIAC will contact you approximately one month before your Membership is due for renewal, detailing the expiry date of your current membership and further actions you will need to take in order to continue your subscription.

Registration fees
The following payment methods are accepted:

Bank transfer: please refer to the registration form for bank details

All payments must be made ‘Free of charges to the LCIA’.

The name of the delegate and the conference title must be included in the payment reference

We take receipt of a completed registration form (whether in hard copy or online) as acceptance of the cancellation terms and conditions as stipulated below and on the registration form.

Written cancellation of a delegate place must be received by the LCIA office before the cancellation deadline date (stipulated on the event registration form) in order for the delegate fee to be refunded. Refunds will be made via the original payment method.

Cancellations relating to conference accommodation bookings are the responsibility of the delegate and must be made direct with the hotel.

The organisers may at any time, with or without giving notice, in their absolute discretion and without giving any reason, cancel or postpone the conference, change its venue or any of the other published particulars, or withdraw any invitation to attend. In any case, neither the organisers nor any of their officers, employees, agents, members or representatives shall be liable for any loss, liability, damage or expense suffered or incurred by any person, nor will they return any money paid to them in connection with the conference unless they are satisfied not only that the money in question remains under their control but also that the person who paid it has been unfairly prejudiced (as to which, decision shall be in their sole and unfettered discretion and, when announced, final and conclusive).
